⚡🚐 A new chapter for the Complete Washrooms fleet!
The first fully electric van has officially joined the growing Complete Washrooms fleet, and what better vehicle to start with than the brand-new Kia PV5?
The PV5 has certainly divided opinion — it’s one of those vehicles you either love or hate! 😍 But we have to say, we absolutely love it, especially when it’s been transformed into a fully equipped working vehicle like this one.
This particular PV5 has been fitted with a completely bespoke wooden racking system, designed specifically around the requirements of the end user and the work their engineers carry out every day.
Rather than taking a standard off-the-shelf approach, we worked with the customer to understand exactly how their vehicles are used, what equipment needs to be carried and how everything needs to be accessed. The result is a practical, organised storage system that makes the most of the available space while keeping the engineers' equipment neatly arranged and readily accessible.
One of the biggest benefits of this installation is the consistency across the entire Complete Washrooms fleet.
The customer uses the same racking layout across their vehicles, regardless of the individual vehicle’s size or shape. This means their engineers can move from one vehicle to another and immediately know where everything is located.
For a busy engineering fleet, this kind of continuity can make a huge difference. There’s no need for engineers to learn a different storage layout every time they use another vehicle — the equipment is positioned in a familiar and consistent way, helping improve organisation, efficiency and day-to-day usability.
We also installed a low-profile Flettner roof vent, providing passive ventilation to the load area. For a vehicle being used by washroom engineers, ventilation is particularly important, helping to remove unwanted odours and improve airflow within the rear load space.
It’s a relatively discreet addition to the vehicle, but one that can make a significant difference to the working environment inside the van.
⚡ And this is just the beginning…
This is the first of two identical Kia PV5s we have completed for Complete Washrooms, with the second vehicle following the same bespoke specification. With more vehicles planned for the fleet, we’re looking forward to seeing this consistent design rolled out across their growing electric fleet.
